A significant class of investments is the funds that we manage for our clients. The
management of these assets is the core business of CapSol and comprises a critical
component of our overall wealth management strategy. Naturally, all investments carry some
degree of risk. Our asset allocation policy is based on the outlook for the money and capital
markets and alternate investments. Our goal is to establish a mix of appropriate asset classes
that is on or as near as possible to the "efficient frontier" (i.e. the optimal risk/return
characteristics) that is consistent with regulatory dictates and commensurate with our total
return objectives.
For many years the stock market has been a fairly reliable avenue for patient investors to
accumulate wealth. While the long term trend of equities is in a positive direction, for some
investors the short term and often volatile market fluctuations can cause sleepless nights.
Global events can easily trigger interesting reactions regarding investment activity.
In order to mitigate the impact of these fluctuations our investment imperative is to provide
options and sound advice to clients based on our in house expertise and through external
strategic partnerships, consistent with our financial gateway philosophy. While CapSol is not
a stockbroker, it has the ability to facilitate purchases and sales in accordance with changes in
our clients' investment allocation strategies.
